Cytogenetic abnormalities commonly associated with high-grade B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL) are detected by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Probes for BCL6 (3q27.3), IRF4-DUSP22 (6p25.3), MYC (8q24.21) and IGH/BCL2 t(14;18) are included in the B-NHL High Grade FISH Profile.

The B-NHL High-Grade FISH Profile detects cytogenetic abnormalities commonly associated with high-grade B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL), including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), Burkitt lymphoma (BL), double-hit lymphoma (DHL), and triple-hit lymphoma (THL).

methodology/product platform
Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)

specimen type and requirements
Peripheral blood: 5-6 mL in sodium heparin (green-top) tube or EDTA (purple-top) tube.
Bone marrow: 2-3 mL in in sodium heparin (green-top) tube or EDTA (purple-top) tube.
FFPE tissue: no decalcification (except for centromere as well as locus specific FISH probes).
Fresh (Lymphoid) Tissue: Transport in RPMI
Note: Use refrigerated cold pack for transport. Make sure cold pack is not in direct contact with specimen.
DO NOT FREEZE.

Probe Prioritization: If samples are insufficient to complete the whole FISH panel, Genoptix will prioritize testing in the following order: MYC, IGH/BCL2, BCL6, and IRF4-DUSP22, unless directed otherwise by the client.
